The big picture for Scorpio in 2027

Jupiter begins the year at 26° Leo in your tenth house of career and public standing. It is retrograde as the year opens and turns direct on 13 April, so progress on professional goals may feel slow or under review until the spring, then gather pace. From mid April to late July you are well placed to put yourself forward, ask for more responsibility or make your work visible. On 26 July Jupiter moves into Virgo, your eleventh house of friends, groups and hopes for the future. For the rest of the year the growth comes through community: networks, teams, causes and the longer term plans you share with others.

Saturn spends the whole year in Aries, your sixth house of daily work and wellbeing. It turns retrograde on 9 August and direct again on 24 December. The year starts with Venus in your own sign until 7 January, which is a warm beginning for anything to do with self worth and attraction. The first real romantic window opens in March: the New Moon in Pisces on 8 March falls in your fifth house of romance, fun and creativity, and Venus follows into Pisces on 26 March, staying until 20 April. Mercury turns retrograde in Pisces on 9 February, so plans around dating or children may need reworking early in the year before they settle.

Partnership season arrives in spring. Between late February and early April, professional ambitions may stall or need rethinking. Revising is wiser than launching during that stretch. Once Mars turns direct, and especially after Jupiter follows on 13 April, the way forward tends to clear. Mars stays in Leo until 14 May, giving you energy to act on what you have reconsidered.

The total solar eclipse on 2 August at 9° Leo, with Venus in Leo from 27 July and Mercury there from 2 August, marks a significant turning point for your public life. February

Mercury slips back into Aquarius on 18 February, the same day the Sun enters Pisces. The penumbral lunar eclipse on 20 February in Virgo brings a friendship or group matter to a head, and Mars moves back into Leo on 21 February, putting career under review.

March

Venus enters Aquarius on 1 March and Mercury turns direct on 3 March, so family conversations become easier. The New Moon in Pisces on 8 March is one of the nicest dates of the year for Scorpio, a fresh start in love, creativity or anything you do for pleasure. Mercury returns to Pisces on 18 March, the Sun enters Aries on 20 March, and the Full Moon in Libra on 22 March in your twelfth house suggests a need for rest. Venus moves into Pisces on 26 March.

April

Mars turns direct on 1 April at 20° Leo and Jupiter turns direct on 13 April, both in your tenth house. Career plans that stalled now begin to move. May

The New Moon in Taurus on 6 May is the year's best new start for a close relationship. Pluto turns retrograde on 8 May in your fourth house. With both in your ninth house, this is when a journey, a course or a new way of seeing things can move from idea to decision. Neptune turns retrograde on 9 July. Mercury re enters Cancer on 12 July, Mars moves into Libra on 15 July, and the penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn on 18 July may bring a conversation or sibling matter to a close. The Sun enters Leo on 23 July, Jupiter moves into Virgo on 26 July, and Venus enters Leo on 27 July.

August

The total solar eclipse at 9° Leo on 2 August is the career moment of the year, with Mercury entering Leo the same day. Saturn turns retrograde on 9 August in your sixth house, a time to review workload. Mercury moves into Virgo on 17 August as the penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius highlights home and family. September

October
