2027 is a year of growing into yourself. Saturn and Neptune are both in Aries all year, sitting in your 1st house of self, appearance and new starts. Saturn asks you to take yourself seriously, to set limits and to build something that lasts. Neptune softens the edges and invites you to imagine who you could become. Between the two of them, this is a year for working out what you actually want and then committing to it.
The other big story is Jupiter. It spends the first half of the year in Leo, your 5th house of romance, fun and creativity, then moves into Virgo on 26 July and turns its attention to your 6th house of work routines, health and daily habits. In plain terms, the first half of 2027 is about enjoying life and the second half is about getting organised.
There is also a long Mars retrograde in the first quarter, three Mercury retrogrades and five eclipses. That is a fair amount of stopping and starting for a sign that prefers to keep moving, but each of those pauses has a purpose. Aries is built for fresh starts, and this year offers several.
The big picture for Aries in 2027
Saturn in Aries is the heavyweight influence of the year. It starts 2027 at 8° of your sign and moves steadily forward until it turns retrograde on 9 August at 27° Aries, then turns direct again on 24 December at 21°. Saturn in your 1st house tends to feel like a long process of maturing. Responsibilities weigh a little more than they used to. You may hesitate before saying yes, and you may care more about doing a job well than doing it fast. That can be uncomfortable for a sign that likes to move quickly, but it is also how reputations and strong foundations get built.
Neptune is also in Aries, at 1° on 1 January, turning retrograde on 9 July at 6° and direct on 15 December at 3°. Where Saturn makes you more realistic, Neptune makes you more sensitive, more imaginative and sometimes less sure of your footing. You may feel your sense of identity shifting in ways that are hard to put into words. Give yourself room for that. With Neptune in your own sign, the months either side of its stations, around early July and mid December, are particularly good for creative work or for simply stepping back and letting things settle.
Jupiter spends January to July in Leo, your 5th house. It turns direct on 13 April at 16° Leo, so from mid April the good things it offers in love, pleasure and creativity flow more freely. On 26 July it moves into Virgo, your 6th house, and the emphasis changes to work, health and the structure of your days. Jupiter here is a good time to improve your routines, take on a bigger role at work or sort out habits that have been holding you back.
Uranus sits in Gemini, your 3rd house of communication, learning and short trips. It turns direct on 8 February and retrograde again on 15 September. Expect your thinking to be lively and your schedule to be changeable, with new ideas, new people to talk to and new ways of getting your message across. Pluto is in Aquarius, your 11th house of friends and groups, retrograde from 8 May to 18 October. Over time it tends to change the company you keep and the goals you set for the future, usually by making it clear which friendships and causes really matter.
Love and relationships in 2027
Jupiter in your 5th house for the first seven months is the most generous romantic influence of the year, though it comes with a caveat. Mars spends 21 February to 14 May in Leo, and is retrograde there until 1 April. That stretch can bring old feelings or old flames back into view, and it is better suited to sorting out what you want than to rushing into something new. From 1 April, with Mars direct and Jupiter following on 13 April, the 5th house opens up properly.
The total solar eclipse on 2 August at 9° Leo is the big relationship date of the year. Solar eclipses are powerful New Moons, and this one lands in your house of romance, children and creative joy. It marks a fresh chapter in how you enjoy yourself and who you share that with. Venus joins in, moving through Leo from 27 July to 20 August.
Partnerships come to the fore in the autumn. Mars enters Libra, your 7th house, on 15 July, Venus follows on 14 September and the Sun arrives on 23 September. The New Moon on 30 September at 6° Libra is a good time to make a commitment or to agree how a relationship should work. Mercury retrograde from 7 to 28 October, moving back into Libra on 16 October, is a time to revisit conversations rather than to settle anything final. Earlier in the year, the Full Moon on 22 March at 1° Libra shines a light on where a close relationship stands just after your birthday season begins.
Work and money in 2027
The year opens with the Sun and Mercury in Capricorn, your 10th house of career, and the New Moon on 7 January at 17° Capricorn is a good time to set professional goals. Mars, however, turns retrograde on 10 January at 10° Virgo, your 6th house, and stays retrograde until 1 April. Working life may feel slower and more frustrating than you would like in the first quarter. Use the time to review how you work rather than how much you can push through.
Money matters pick up in late April and May. The Sun enters Taurus, your 2nd house, on 20 April, with Mercury there from 24 April and Venus from 14 May. The New Moon on 6 May at 15° Taurus is a good time to set a budget or start a savings plan. The Full Moon on 14 November at 21° Taurus brings a later check on finances.
The penumbral lunar eclipse on 18 July at 25° Capricorn, your 10th house, is the key career date. Lunar eclipses tend to bring things to a head, and this one may clarify where your work is going or what your public role should be. Jupiter's move into Virgo on 26 July then gives you a year of support for building better routines. Mars enters Scorpio, your 8th house of shared money, on 2 September, and Mercury retrograde there from 7 October is a sensible moment to check joint accounts, debts or anything financial you share with others. The year closes with Venus and Mars both entering Capricorn on 25 November, a strong signal for career matters in December.
