Leo 2027 Horoscope: Your Year Ahead Month by Month

2027 is a year of two halves for Leo, and the dividing line falls right in your birthday season. From January to late July, Jupiter is in your own sign and your 1st house of self, appearance and new starts, which means the planet of growth and good fortune is still focused on you: your confidence, how you present yourself, your sense of who you are and what you want next. Then on 26 July Jupiter moves into Virgo and your 2nd house of money and self worth, and the emphasis shifts from being seen to being paid.

The other big influence is a total solar eclipse in Leo on 2 August. Eclipses in your own sign do not come round often, and this one lands just after Jupiter leaves. Put the two together and you have a strong feeling of a chapter closing and a new one opening, somewhere between late July and the end of August.

Alongside all that, Pluto continues its slow work in your 7th house of partnerships, Saturn and Neptune sit in your 9th house of travel and beliefs, and Uranus stirs things up among your friends and groups. It is a year with a lot going on, but the shape of it is clear enough once you know where to look.

The big picture for Leo in 2027

Jupiter starts the year at 26° Leo, in your 1st house, and it is moving backwards. It turns direct on 13 April at 16° Leo, and from then on it gathers speed through the second half of your sign. This is the tail end of a period that began in 2026, so the first half of 2027 is a good time to finish what you started: a new look, a new direction, a fresh sense of purpose. It would be a shame to let it drift. On 26 July Jupiter moves into Virgo and your 2nd house, where it stays for the rest of the year. The 2nd house covers earnings, possessions and the value you place on yourself, so this is the stretch when Leo tends to notice chances to earn more, or at least to think more clearly about what you are worth.

Saturn is in Aries and your 9th house all year, turning retrograde on 9 August and direct again on 24 December. The 9th house is about travel, study, publishing, faith and the wider world, and Saturn here asks you to take those things seriously. If you are studying, it is a year for steady work rather than shortcuts. If you have been meaning to commit to a course, a long journey or a belief you have been circling for a while, Saturn tends to reward the ones who follow through.

Neptune is also in early Aries, sharing that 9th house with Saturn. It turns retrograde on 9 July and direct on 15 December. Neptune softens where Saturn hardens, so you may find your ideas about the world are shifting even as you try to pin them down. That is normal, and worth sitting with rather than rushing.

Uranus is at 2° Gemini on 1 January, in your 11th house of friends, groups and hopes for the future. It turns direct on 8 February and retrograde again on 15 September. Expect your social circle to keep changing shape: new people arriving, old groups loosening, and an urge to find people who suit you rather than settle for the ones you inherited.

Pluto sits in Aquarius and your 7th house all year, retrograde from 8 May to 18 October. This is a long transit, and it is slowly reworking how you do close relationships: what you will and will not accept, and how much of yourself you hand over to another person.

Love and relationships in 2027

The relationship story is framed by three eclipses in your 7th and 1st houses. The year's first eclipse, an annular solar eclipse on 6 February at 17° Aquarius, falls in your partnership house and doubles as a New Moon there. It is a good time to start something with another person, or to reset the terms of something that already exists. Then in August the pairing repeats in reverse. The total solar eclipse in Leo on 2 August puts you first, but nobody changes in a vacuum, and the lunar eclipse on 17 August at 24° Aquarius brings the focus straight back to the person opposite you. Whatever you decide about yourself in early August, your partner, or your search for one, is likely to feel it by the middle of the month.

Venus arrives in Aquarius and your 7th house on 1 March, a warmer and easier spell for couples after the eclipse. Venus in Leo from 27 July to 20 August is your most attractive stretch of the year, and it overlaps with your birthday season and the Leo eclipse. Romance and fun get their own turn when Venus is in Sagittarius and your 5th house, first from 7 January and again from 1 November, with Mars already there from 16 October. The New Moon in Sagittarius on 28 November is one of the best dates of the year for a first date, a creative project or time with children.

Work and money in 2027

Money is the main theme of the second half, but it starts early. Mars is at 9° Virgo in your 2nd house on 1 January and turns retrograde there on 10 January, at 10° Virgo. Mars retrograde in the money house is a signal to review spending and to hold off on big purchases rather than push ahead. Mars slips back into Leo on 21 February, turns direct on 1 April, and only returns to Virgo on 14 May. So the whole first quarter has a stop and start feel around finances, with the lunar eclipse at 1° Virgo on 20 February adding a nudge to look honestly at what you own and what you owe.

Then Jupiter reaches Virgo on 26 July, Mercury follows on 17 August and Venus on 20 August, and the New Moon at 8° Virgo on 31 August rounds it off. Late summer is a good time to talk about what you earn, to put a fair price on your work, or to think about where a bit of extra income might come from. Career, reputation and public life belong to your 10th house in Taurus: the New Moon there on 6 May, with Venus in Taurus from 14 May, is a good time to put yourself forward, and the Full Moon on 14 November at 21° Taurus is when something you have worked for may become visible. Daily routines and health sit in Capricorn, your 6th house, with the lunar eclipse on 18 July and the New Moon on 27 December both inviting a tidy up of habits.

Leo 2027 month by month

January

The year opens with the Sun and Mercury in your 6th house and a New Moon there on 7 January: a quiet, practical start, good for sorting routines. Venus moves into Sagittarius the same day, bringing a lighter mood to romance and creative life. Mars turns retrograde on 10 January in your money house, so go easy on spending. The Sun reaches your partnership house on 20 January, and two days later the Full Moon in Leo puts you in the spotlight.

February

A busy month. Mercury moves into Pisces on 1 February and Venus into Capricorn on 3 February, then the solar eclipse in Aquarius on 6 February brings a fresh start in relationships. Uranus turns direct on 8 February, and the next day Mercury turns retrograde at 5° Pisces, in your 8th house of shared money. Double check joint finances and contracts. Mercury retreats into Aquarius on 18 February, the Sun arrives in Pisces the same day, the lunar eclipse in Virgo on 20 February stirs money matters, and Mars backs into Leo on 21 February.

March

Venus reaches your 7th house on 1 March and Mercury turns direct on 3 March at 20° Aquarius, so conversations with a partner get easier. The New Moon at 17° Pisces on 8 March is a good moment to set an intention around shared resources. Mercury returns to Pisces on 18 March, the Sun moves into Aries on 20 March, the Full Moon in Libra on 22 March lights up your communication house, and Venus slips into Pisces on 26 March.

April

Mars turns direct on 1 April at 20° Leo, and Jupiter does the same on 13 April at 16° Leo. With both now moving forward in your sign, the brakes come off. The New Moon in Aries on 7 April favours plans for travel or study. Mercury moves into Aries on 9 April and on to Taurus on 24 April. On 20 April Venus crosses into Aries, the Sun into Taurus, and the Full Moon at 0° Scorpio that day turns attention to home and family.

May

The New Moon at 15° Taurus on 6 May is your best career launch of the year. Pluto turns retrograde on 8 May in your 7th house, Mercury heads into Gemini on 9 May, and on 14 May Mars returns to Virgo while Venus arrives in Taurus, which helps your public image. The Full Moon at 29° Scorpio on 20 May closes a family matter, the Sun moves into Gemini on 21 May and Mercury into Cancer on 28 May.

June

The New Moon in Gemini on 4 June is good for joining something or meeting new people, and Venus follows into Gemini on 8 June. Mercury turns retrograde on 10 June at 6° Cancer, in your 12th house: a time for reflection rather than announcements. The Full Moon at 27° Sagittarius on 19 June brings a romantic or creative matter to a head, the Sun reaches Cancer on 21 June, and Mercury slips back into Gemini on 26 June.

July

Venus moves into Cancer on 3 July, and on 4 July the New Moon in Cancer coincides with Mercury turning direct at 27° Gemini. Neptune turns retrograde on 9 July, Mercury returns to Cancer on 12 July and Mars heads into Libra on 15 July. The lunar eclipse at 25° Capricorn on 18 July asks for honesty about health and work habits. Then the Sun arrives in Leo on 23 July, Jupiter crosses into Virgo on 26 July and Venus joins you in Leo on 27 July. Your birthday season begins with a real change of gear.

August

The month of the year for Leo. The total solar eclipse at 9° Leo on 2 August is a powerful New Moon in your own sign, and Mercury moves into Leo the same day. Saturn turns retrograde on 9 August in your 9th house, Mercury carries on into Virgo on 17 August, and the lunar eclipse at 24° Aquarius that day brings relationships into focus. Venus follows into Virgo on 20 August, the Sun on 23 August, and the New Moon at 8° Virgo on 31 August is a strong date for money plans.

September

Mars moves into Scorpio on 2 September and Mercury into Libra on 3 September, so home and communication both get attention. Venus arrives in Libra on 14 September, Uranus turns retrograde on 15 September, and the Full Moon at 22° Pisces on 16 September highlights shared finances. The Sun reaches Libra on 23 September, Mercury goes on into Scorpio on 27 September, and the New Moon at 6° Libra on 30 September is a good time to start a course or a conversation.

October

Mercury turns retrograde on 7 October at 4° Scorpio in your home house, and Venus moves into Scorpio on 8 October. Household plans may need revisiting. The Full Moon at 21° Aries on 15 October lands in your 9th house, and on 16 October Mars heads into Sagittarius while Mercury backs into Libra. Pluto turns direct on 18 October, the Sun arrives in Scorpio on 23 October, Mercury turns direct on 28 October at 19° Libra, and the New Moon at 5° Scorpio on 29 October is a fresh start at home.

November

Venus joins Mars in Sagittarius on 1 November and your 5th house comes alive: a warm month for love, play and creative work. December

The Full Moon at 21° Gemini on 13 December belongs to friends and shared hopes. Neptune turns direct on 15 December, Mercury moves into Capricorn on 18 December, Venus into Aquarius on 19 December, and the Sun reaches Capricorn on 22 December. Saturn turns direct on 24 December, which eases the 9th house pressure of the autumn, and the New Moon at 5° Capricorn on 27 December sets up healthy routines for 2028.
