Capricorn's 2027 begins at home and ends there too. Saturn, your own ruling planet, spends the whole year in Aries and your 4th house of home, family and roots, so questions about where you live, who you live with and what you owe the people who raised you sit close to the surface for twelve months.
The other big story is Jupiter. For the first seven months it stays in Leo and your 8th house of shared money, intimacy and deep change, then on 26 July it moves into Virgo and your 9th house of travel, study and the wider world. The year splits fairly neatly in two: a first half about joint finances and what you share with others, a second half about broadening your horizons.
There are five eclipses, grouped into two clusters. Two fall in February, in your money house and your travel house, and three fall between mid July and mid August, touching your own sign, your 8th house and your 2nd house in turn. Put together, 2027 looks like a year of rearranging the foundations rather than racing ahead, which suits Capricorn better than most.
The big picture for Capricorn in 2027
Jupiter starts the year at 26° Leo in your 8th house and is retrograde until 13 April. During those months loans, inheritances, joint accounts, insurance and questions of intimate trust tend to come up for review rather than resolution. You may find yourself rereading a will, questioning a shared arrangement or renegotiating who pays for what. After April things move forward again, and by midsummer shared resources may have grown or at least settled. On 26 July Jupiter enters Virgo and your 9th house, where it stays for the rest of the year. Jupiter is traditionally comfortable in the 9th house, and for a sign that likes a plan, this is the stretch for travel, further study, publishing, teaching, legal matters or anything that makes your world feel larger than it did in January.
Saturn sits in Aries and your 4th house all year, turning retrograde on 9 August and direct again on 24 December. Saturn asks for structure, and in the 4th house that tends to be literal: repairs, renovations, downsizing, buying, selling, or taking on more responsibility for relatives. None of it is quick. The retrograde months from August to December are more about reviewing an arrangement than starting a new one.
Uranus is at the start of Gemini in your 6th house of work routines and health. It turns direct on 8 February and retrograde on 15 September. Your daily schedule, your tools and your habits keep shifting, and a Capricorn who likes a fixed routine may need to loosen it. Flexible working patterns and new technology are likely themes, as is a change in how you look after your body day to day.
Neptune is also in Aries and your 4th house, retrograde from 9 July to 15 December. Alongside Saturn it muddies the water. You may have an idealised picture of what home should be, or find that family arrangements are vaguer than you thought: who is paying for what, who is staying for how long, what was actually agreed. Saturn then insists you write it down. Treat any domestic plan that feels too good to be true with a little caution, especially in the second half of the year.
Pluto continues through Aquarius and your 2nd house of money and self worth, retrograde from 8 May to 18 October. This is a slow, deep transformation of how you earn, what you value and how much you believe you deserve. Old assumptions about security may not survive the year intact, and that can be uncomfortable for a sign that measures itself by what it has built. The eclipses on 6 February and 17 August land in the same house and give that process a shove.
Love and relationships in 2027
Late spring is the lightest stretch for romance. Venus is in Taurus and your 5th house from 14 May to 8 June, following the New Moon there on 6 May. These are the weeks for dates, play, time with children and creative work you had let slide. Capricorn can forget to enjoy itself; this is the month to remember.
Committed partnerships come into focus at midsummer. Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer and your 7th house on 10 June, which may bring an old conversation back round or reopen something you thought was settled. Then the Sun enters Cancer on 21 June, Venus follows on 3 July and the New Moon in Cancer on 4 July, the same day Mercury turns direct, gives couples a fresh page. Venus stays in your 7th house until 27 July, the warmest window of the year for working on a relationship or starting one.
Jupiter in Leo and your 8th house until late July favours depth over novelty: trust, vulnerability and the practical side of sharing a life. Late in the year, Venus and Mars both enter Capricorn on 25 November, putting you at the centre of things and making December a time to say clearly what you want rather than waiting to be asked.
Work and money in 2027
Money is where 2027 asks the most of you. The annular solar eclipse on 6 February in Aquarius and your 2nd house opens a new chapter in earning and spending, and the penumbral lunar eclipse on 17 August in the same house shows what has been working and what has not. With Pluto in this house all year, the theme is rebuilding your financial base from the ground up rather than tinkering with it. You may change how you are paid, what you own, or what you are prepared to do for money.
Career has its own season. Mars enters Libra and your 10th house on 15 July and stays until 2 September, a good spell for pushing for recognition or taking on a visible project. Venus is in Libra from 14 September to 8 October, the Sun arrives on 23 September and the New Moon in Libra on 30 September is the strongest moment for a professional new start. Mercury turns retrograde on 7 October and slides back into Libra on 16 October, so leave room for revisions before it turns direct on 28 October.
Day to day, Uranus in your 6th house keeps routines unpredictable. Mars retrograde in Virgo from 10 January, moving back into Leo on 21 February and turning direct on 1 April, may slow plans involving travel, training or anything overseas. The second half of the year under Jupiter in Virgo is far better for those.
